What to Expect

We’re glad that you are considering visiting us! We start each Sunday morning with Bible Study classes for all ages at 9:30 a.m.

If you come inside through the main sanctuary doors (the covered entrance facing the outdoor pavilion) there will be plenty of people to show you to the available classes that we offer. If you arrive a few minutes early, feel free to enjoy some coffee and donuts or breakfast sandwiches.

We also have a nursery for newborns through two–year–olds. All of our childcare workers are fully background checked and are experienced working with children.

Our Sunday morning worship time begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. We offer Children’s Church upstairs in the Sanctuary building for children aged three through second grade. Their teachers will take them upstairs after the offering. We sing songs of praise and worship to and about God, and we hear preaching from the Bible. Our pastor preaches expositional sermons, designed to explain the day’s passage in a way that is faithful to God’s Word and applicable to our lives. He usually preaches through a complete book of the Bible at a time, but sometimes he preaches on a theme or particular Bible doctrine.

We do have a time during our worship service where our church family gives financially to the expenses of doing ministry and missions. During that time all we ask of you is that you—if you feel comfortable—fill out and place the visitor’s card from the bulletin in the offering plate as it comes by, so we can know how to better minister to you.

We usually finish our worship service around 11:40 a.m.

People dress comfortably and respectfully at Cross Roads Baptist Church. You are just as likely to see someone in a sports coat as you are a t-shirt. Most people wear clothes in the casual to business casual range, but if you want to wear jeans, or a suit, or a dress, feel free.

On Sunday evenings we have another time of worship in the Chapel (the building with the steeple) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We have a time of singing and prayer, and then the pastor preaches, with an emphasis on teaching and discipleship. We also have missions speakers several times per year, during our evening worship time.

On Wednesday evenings, during the school–year, We have a strong and vibrant Awana program. We have classes for three–year–olds through high school seniors. Please see our Awana page for more information. All of our Awana workers have passed background checks and are committed to providing the best experience possible for every child.

Thank you for checking out our website. We hope that you will check us out in person soon!
