AWANA

Since 1950 Awana has grown from a single church in Chicago, into a ministry that includes 11,500 United States Churches (in all 50 states) and 16,000 churches in more than 100 other countries spanning 6 continents. We are so pleased to have an Awana program at Cross Roads.   The word “Awana” stands for “Approved workmen are not ashamed”, as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Awana is a fun and exciting way for children to learn Scripture and it works! The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him.

We have Puggles for 2 year olds, Cubbies for 3 and 4 year olds, Sparks for K, 1 and 2nd grade, T & T for 3rd – 6th grade and TREK for 7th grade and up. Club night is divided into three sections – handbook time, large group council time and game time. All of our staff have gone through a background check.
