All Church Activities Canceled For the Week of March 15

Good evening everyone,

The deacons and I have been gathering feedback and discussing options throughout the day, and we are all in agreement that it is in everyone’s best interest to cancel all of our church services and activities for the week. We did not make this decision in haste, nor did anyone take his responsibility to carefully make this decision lightly.

We did not want to call off church, but the latest reports suggest that many people could be carriers of the virus while being in an asymptomatic state, or while in the incubation phase of the virus, which can last for more than two weeks. Gathering in enclosed spaces would lead to the very real risk of  spreading the virus to the most vulnerable among us (through direct or secondary contact), who could in turn face serious complications or even death.

We will work on a long–range plan to deal with potential scenarios as we continue to monitor the COVID–19 virus and its effects. We will communicate any decisions made through email, the church website, and via phone.

Please continue to take precautions against getting or spreading this virus. Stay informed. Stay safe. And in these uncertain times, remember to find your rest in Jesus
